You can learn a lot about Chemeketa Community College by understanding the meaning of its name; Chemeketa means "gathering place" in the local Native American language of the Kalapuya. That translates to "place of peace."
Today, Chemeketa Community College has full campuses in Salem and McMinnville, as well as locations in Woodburn, Dallas, Brooks, Eola, and Downtown Salem.
