A small campground with nine individual sites of varying size and character, and the campground can only be reserved in its entirety. Each site has a fire ring, a picnic table, and a flat spot for a tent. Swimming holes for adventurous types. This is the put-in for the Class IV whitewater section of the Breitenbush. Besides kayaking, there are numerous hiking trails and good fishing in the area.

Cove Creek Campground is the largest and most recent National Forest Campground on Detroit Lake. With 60 campsites, flush toilets and showers, an adjacent group site, and a popular boat ramp, it is the perfect spot for anyone wanting to "get away". The Stahlman Point Trail is located 1/4 mile from entrance road and offers some great views of Detroit Lake and Mount Jefferson.

Elk Lake Campground, located adjacent to the Bull of the Woods and Opal Creek Wildernesses, is full of beauty in the summer.CAUTION: FS Road 4697 is not maintained for the last 4 miles into Elk Lake. Access by low-clearance vehicles and trailers not recommended as the road is rough and rocky.

Located at Independence's Riverview Park for travelers on the Willamette River Water Trail and the Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway. This basic camping area has five sites, picnic tables, bike rack, water tap and bike repair station. WiFi is available through camp host during summer months. A camp site costs $10 per night.

Keizer Rapids Cyclo Cross
An impressive geologic formation that stands 50 feet tall and 40 feet wide. After hiking the steep 1/2 mile trail, you stand under the huge arch and can almost feel the weight of the rock hanging above. Explore around the base of the arch to discover numerous small caves in the fractured rock.
