Festival Chorale Oregon opens its season with a performance of J.S. Bach’s ”Christmas Oratorio” on Nov. 24 at Salem’s Elsinore Theatre. The 100-voice chorus will perform the first four parts of the piece, accompanied by a symphonic orchestra and featured soloists. Tickets are required.

The 57th annual Polk County 4-H Leader’s Association Holiday Fair is Nov. 1-2 at the fairgrounds in Rickreall, Oregon. More than 125 exhibitors will sell holiday goodies, including wooden toys, handmade dolls, flower arrangements, wreaths, ornaments and greeting cards. Admission to the fair is free, but donations are accepted.
15. Keizer Chamber Turkey Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk

16. Made in America—15th Annual Veterans Concert

On Nov. 9, the strongest women in the Pacific Northwest will compete to see who is Oregon’s Strongest Peach at the War Room PNW in Salem. The athletes will compete in several tests of strength.

The Polk County Craft Festival is Nov. 29-30 in Rickreall, Oregon. There will be homemade crafts from more than 150 vendors. Admission and parking are free.

21. Prohibition Casino Night
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the passing of the 18th Amendment and the beginning of Prohibition. Party like it’s 1919 with casino games, music, era-related cocktails and food at the Willamette Heritage Center on Nov. 15. Tickets are required. This event is for ages 21 and up.

The Hemp and Cannabis Fair returns to the Oregon State Fair and Exposition Center, in Salem, on Nov. 2-3. This celebration of legal marijuana aims to normalize cannabis and raise awareness for industrial hemp. There will be hemp and cannabis products, legal discussions and sessions on growing. The 70th annual winter sports film tribute to world-famous skier Warren Miller, “Timeless,” is Nov. 3 at Salem’s Elsinore Theatre. Tickets are required.
