1. Annex Prints!
Annex Prints! will showcase 10 local printmakers at the Bush Barn Art Center. The artwork varies from monotype to silkscreen and abstract to representational. It will be on display from Nov. 11 to Dec. 4.
2. Birds and wine at Left Coast Cellars
Join Salem Audubon field trip leader Tim Johnson on Nov. 13 for a 2-mile bird walk in the vineyard. Afterwards, enjoy lunch and wine tasting.
3. Create A Memory
Stop in to Create A Memory and get creative during open studio time. Paint your own pottery or visit the fused glass studio. Staff is on hand to answer questions, develop ideas and help you create your perfect piece. Open studios are held Wednesday through Sunday.
4. Elsinore Gallery Annual Art in Miniature Show
The Art in Miniature show features 22 local and nationally-known artists. Attend the exhibit’s reception Nov. 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The artwork will be on display until Nov. 26
5. Elsinore Theatre Wednesday Movie Nights
Head to the historic Elsinore Theatre in downtown Salem every Wednesday for movie night. This month’s showings include, “Jerry McGuire,” “The Longest Yard,” “Heaven Can Wait” and “Home Alone.”
7. Enlightened Theatrics Presents “Plaid Tidings”
Enlightened Theatrics presents the holiday edition of “Forever Plaid.” This Christmas treat will lift your spirits and fill them with nostalgia. The show runs from Nov. 23 to Dec. 11.
8. Eola Hills 30th Anniversary
Eola Hills Wine Cellars is celebrating 30 years of great Oregon wine. On Nov. 5, all three Eola Hills locations will offer complimentary wine tasting, live music, tours of the winery and vineyard and local food.
9. Exitus: Salem Escape Rooms
Rally your friends and take a shot at Salem’s newest escape room. Work together to solve a series of clues and puzzles to escape from the room before the clock hits zero. Reservations can be made online.
10. Fall Music at Coria Estates
Sit by the fire and enjoy music from artist Brian Stearns on Nov. 12 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the event is free.
11. First Wednesday
Explore downtown Salem, Oregon, on the first Wednesday of every month. Several downtown businesses will offer extended hours and specials on Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
12. History of Independence, Oregon
A long-time Independence, Oregon, resident recounts life in the city from 1945-1950. Treats will also be provided to celebrate the museum’s 40th anniversary. The event will be held Nov. 14 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
13. Holiday Fair
The 54th annual Polk County 4-H Leader’s Association Holiday Fair will be held Nov. 4-5 at the Polk County Fairgrounds. More than 125 exhibitors will feature toys, Christmas decorations, handmade clothes and more. Admission to the fair is free.
14. Lady Hill Winery
Visit Lady Hill Winery’s brand new tasting room in St. Paul, Oregon. The $10 tasting fee includes approximately six featured wines. It is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
15. Old-Fashioned Christmas
Get into the holiday spirit on Nov. 19 at this old-fashioned Christmas market. There will be a variety of gifts, arts, crafts, food and antiques to purchase. Participate in festive activities, watch classic Christmas movies and enjoy live entertainment throughout the day at the Oregon State Fairgrounds.
16. Oregon State Museum of Mental Health
The museum tells the stories of the Oregon State Hospital and the people who lived and worked there. Located in the oldest building on the campus, the museum includes permanent and changing exhibits. Tour the museum on Tuesdays, Fridays or Saturdays.
17. Oregon Symphony Association in Salem
Seattle Symphony Music Director Ludovic Morlot will lead the symphony for the first time on Nov. 18. He is joined by award-winning pianist Stephen Hough who returns to tackle Saint-Saëns’ final piano concerto, nicknamed “Egyptian” for its exotic sounds.
18. Pentacle Theatre
The Pentacle Theatre in Salem, Oregon, will host “Other Desert Cities” starting Nov. 11. The play balances comedy and intense family drama. The show runs until Dec. 3.
19. Polk County Craft Festival
This free festival will take place Nov. 25-26 at the Polk County Fairgrounds and Event Center. It will offer two buildings of handmade crafts. Food will also be available to purchase.
20. Polk County History Museum
Learn about Polk County’s history, including the native Kalapuya tribe that originally occupied the area and agriculture through the years. The museum is located in Rickreall, Oregon, and is open on Mondays, Wednesdays Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
22. Salem Art Association’s Holiday Gala
Enjoy an evening of festive food, live music and holiday shopping on Nov. 11 at the Bush Barn Art Center. This year’s theme is Winter Wonderland.
23. Salem Collectors & Flea Market
Attend Salem’s largest indoor flea market on Nov. 19 at the Salem Armory. Vendors will be selling antiques, collectibles, vintage items, furniture, jewelry and more.

26. The Oregon Garden’s Christmas in the Garden
This award-winning event features ice skating, a traditional German Christmas market, snowless tubing and more than 500,000 Christmas lights. The event kicks off Thanksgiving weekend and runs through December.
27. Trexler Farm Saturday Night Concert and Dinner
The Wild Wood, a Portland-based string band, will perform at Trexler Farm on Nov. 12. Before the show, attend dinner hosted by the farm. Reservations for the dinner must be made in advance.
28. Tribute To Veterans
Honor veterans on Nov. 10 at the Oregon State Capitol. This free, two-hour event will begin with the posting of the colors and a musical performance. Afterwards, author Bob Welch with speak about his World War II stories.
29. Western Oregon Guitar & Chamber Ensemble
Western Oregon University’s student ensembles perform a musical variety that includes both guitar and chamber ensembles. Admission to the Nov. 15 event is free.
30. Willamette Humane Society Holiday Bazaar
The Willamette Humane Society Thrift Store will hold its annual holiday bazaar on Nov. 4-5 in downtown Salem, Oregon. It will feature vintage items, seasonal décor, clothing and more.
