The Cake, written by Bekah Brunstetter and under the direction of Jennifer Gimzewski, is in production through March 21 at Pentacle Theatre, in Salem. Follow the story of Della as she comes face-to-face with an unexpected challenge and must make a big decision. This show is for mature audiences and tickets are required.

2.Christopher Atzinger
March 1 at St. Paul’s Music Guild
Pianist Christopher Atzinger will perform a recital March 1 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, in Salem. Come hear works by J.S. Bach, Franz Liszt and Johannes Brahms, as well as a special performance by the St. Paul’s Chamber Singers. Free.
3.Minto-Brown Island Park Walk

The 11th annual Young Artists’ Showcase is on display at Bush Barn Art Center, in Salem, starting March 6. The exhibit features artwork by hundreds of students from local schools. Admission is free.

March 7 at the Oregon Garden Resort

The Grace Goudy Distinguished Artists Series presents a special concert featuring concert pianist Janina Fialkowska, March 11 at Willamette University, in Salem. Janina has over 40 years of experience and studied in both France and at the Juilliard School, in New York. Tickets are required.

Willamette University’s Jazz Collective will host a collaborative event with the Theater, March 13 in Hudson Hall at Willamette University, in Salem. The high-energy performance will showcase composer and arranger Patty Darling. All ages are welcome to attend this ticketed event.

30.Latino Basketball Tournament & Youth Jam
March 21-29 at Willamette University Sparks Center
The largest Latino basketball tournament in Oregon history returns to Salem this month. The Youth Jam, on March 21, is a 3-on-3 basketball tournament for boys and girls in grades K-12. The 5-on-5 adult tournament is the following March 27-29. All events are held at Willamette University.
