A ride that winds west from Salem on Hwy. 22 to the towns of Rickreall, Monmouth and Independence. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit some interesting attractions and vineyards, ending your journey at the Buena Vista Ferry.
A relatively easy ride meandering through the streets of Historic Downtown Salem. The ride will take you by some of the historic and visitor-friendly sites Salem has to offer.
This route starts and ends at Riverview Park in Independence. Over the route’s 45 miles, cyclists will be enjoy scenic views of Polk County’s landscape.
Crossing over the scenic Santiam River at two points, this route takes cyclists on country roads winding along farmland and through covered bridges and quaint small towns. There are several parks along the route where visitors can take a break, rest, have a picnic lunch and enjoy the outdoors.
Enjoy rolling through the lush farmland that surrounds the town of Stayton and Scio while visiting historic covered bridges. Encompassing 57 miles and six covered bridges, this route will give cyclists a little bit of a challenge.
The Cascading Rivers Scenic Bikeway follows the woven Clackamas and Breitenbush rivers in a 70-mile route from Estacada to Detroit. Water is the dominant force that sculpts the volcanic landscape of the West Cascades. All along this route, water and rock interact to create a place of dramatic beauty and inspiration.
