Yozakura in State Capitol State Park
March 25, 6:00pm
For the second year, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, premier partner the Capitol History Gateway program, and presenting sponsor the Oregon State Capitol Foundation, presents a "Yozakura" - a nighttime viewing of the cherry blossom trees in State Capitol State Park.
Bring your picnic, blanket, chairs, and enjoy the park and ambiance of the cherry blossoms in bloom.
On Saturday, March 25, staff from Focal Point Photography in Dallas will assist amateur photographers in their quest to use a macro lens and/or capture the blooms at night. Masumi Timson, regarded Koto player, will provide music in the park through the night.
The lanterns will stay up for the week, and the special lighting will be turned off on Saturday, April 1 at 9 p.m. to conclude the event.
