Dallas Eclipse Celebration on the Square

Join us on the Polk County Courthouse Lawn in Historical Downtown Dallas for a 4-day celebration while we await the eclipse. Live music, nightly concerts, food & artisan vendors, 3D chalk art demo, face painting, beer & wine garden, street performers, eclipse-themed movies, guest speakers, downtown shopping, eclipse viewing & more. Solar Eclipse 2017 Overnight at the Gordon House

Guests will receive a viewing apparatus and a continental  breakfast on the morning of the 21st, just in time to witness this rare phenomenon. Imagine, staying in a Frank Lloyd Wright designed home, having a delicious breakfast served to you and being able to view a total solar eclipse. Cost: $1,500. Black Out at Detroit Lake

Experience the eclipse from Detroit Lake in the heart of the Cascades. Kanes Marina will have a Beer Garden and live entertainment on Sat., Aug. 19 and Sunday, Aug. 20. DLRABA (Detroit Lake Recreation Area Business Association) will have a Beer Garden, DJ music, food vendor, and kids' activities at the Meadows across from Mountain High Grocery on Friday evening, Aug. 18, Sat., Aug. 19 and Sun. Aug. 20 from noon till 10 pm.
