Update from Travel Oregon: OREGON COAST FISHING UPDATE

To provide visitors with reliable information about the upcoming fishing season on the Oregon Coast, Travel Oregon has developed a one-page update(pdf), which contains the most current information available for you to give visitors. Note that regulations are subject to approval and potential updates by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service. Travel Oregon will continue to provide you with information that is helpful to our visitors as it becomes available. Starting Monday future updates will be available at TravelOregon.MediaRoom.com.

Also, please review (2) additional documents created by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife:
- Most recent press release addressing the proposed salmon season restrictions(pdf).
- A map summarizing the 2008 ocean salmon sport fishing season(pdf).

Additionally, you may want to print copies for visitors to take, so they can get more fishing information by phone or online at their convenience.
