Make the Most of Your Membership Use the On-line Membership Directory at TravelSalem.com, and do business with other SCVA members. They’ll return the favor. Distribute your brochures in the Visitors Center. Nearly 30,000 visitors and residents use the center each year. Use the Salem Area Visitors Guide . Members can ask for quantities of the guide to distribute to guests FREE! Plus, you can purchase ad space in the guide at a discounted rate. Be a part of www.TravelSalem.com . Make sure your site is linked to the official Salem area visitor information page. Stay on top of what’s happening in the area with our Events Calendar. And use the Members Only section to find the SCVA newsletter, meeting calendars and special benefits! Set up a hospitality training workshop for your employees to brush up on customer service. Workshops are free and provide great practical tips that keep customers coming back. Request leads . SCVA’s sales trips, trade shows, familiarization tours and advertising placements in Sunset Magazine, Northwest Travel Magazine, and others bring valuable leads. SCVA also offers a lead referral system for wedding and relocation assistance. These lists present a great opportunity for you to direct mail your promotional literature to potential visitors, new residents and non-professional wedding planners. Attend monthly membership luncheons to make new contacts. You can bring business cards and flyers to hand out, and/or a door prize to promote your business or event. Host Salem Boosters for their monthly meeting. These dedicated SCVA volunteers are strong advocates for the visitor industry. Host an SCVA luncheon. A great way to showcase your restaurant or event facility. Take part in convention service programs, such as welcome packets for RV Rallies, softball tournaments and other large groups. |
