    Plein air painter Anton Pavlenko strives to capture the essence of the landscape, by trying to work from an intuitive state with effortless and swift strokes. His work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions and is in several private and public collections across the country. Reception from 6-8 pm on Friday, September 23.   • The Annex Grand (Re)Opening & Fine Art Friday

    The Annex is a newly redesigned venue for learning about, creating and showing art. As a multi-purpose space, the Annex features a dedicated studio for an Artist-in-Residence program, and a separate area for other programming. It is also the new headquarters for the Salem Art Association’s Community Arts Education program. A temporary exhibition titled, looking forward: LOOKING BACK, will be on view with audio interviews and visual art from past Salem Art Association (SAA) artists and administrators.
